Poor Boxers always getting a bad rap.
I will say this about Boxers......I think they are more "accepted" as family pets than dobermans, but I don't think they they need any "less" of an owner than a doberman does. They can be very pig headed and strong willed. My boxer is very smart, and that is part of her problem...she is a very "seize the opportunity" kind of dog, and will wait until the dobermans are standing just at the edge of a step, or right next my brick patio so SLAM into them so hard that they will tumble down the steps or slam into the side of the patio......
I think they just usually wind up in homes who are not prepared for their "boxerness" (LOL) and they are allowed to run wild. (and wild they are)
They really ARE great dogs, but I too have met lots of dumb Boxer owners. I am glad that Leroy is okay. Thus the reason I hate public parks..........
