| Since you are already using solar, why not investigate solar-powered wheeled gates - a neighbor down the road has one and am going to consider one when the time comes.
We are facing a similar delimma, altho' we only have 2 acres to worry about. The deer have knocked down the aging split-rail fence along the back of our property (put up in the 70s and slowly rotting away), and we have split-rail along one side and a tight row of spruce along the other. The dogs have a run, but we are in the process of pricing out our options and I am having major sticker-shock. |
