You CAN teach a show dog how to HEEL and how to SIT!! they also can learn STAND and TROT. That is exactly what Wyatt is learning right now! He knows stand and he pops right up! I'm hoping to turn that pop up into a self stack...working with his confirmation handlers. He has two trainers... one for conformation and one for obedience... Both trainers do both... but the obedience trainer is closer... and they both agree that dogs can be dual trained... teaching heel will really help this. I know what you mean because Wyatt tugs on his leash really bad and gets in front of me too....
