I'm sure you will do fine, especially if Lexx knows when he needs to focus. It's amazing how smart they are and how they sense that they are doing something important and need to be on their best behavior!

I totally am getting the bug!!

It's addicting, that's for sure! I just see so much potential in Red and it seems unfair not to utilize his drive and intelligence. Plus, I am learning as I go - I know I'm the one holding us back. When I saw the obedience instructor working with Red during our consultation, I realized we could be so much farther along than we are, but it's my lack of experience/knowledge holding us back. That's why I think it's time to seek professional assistance. I want to be a good trainer and challenge us both

Thank you so much, Doberdog!! You are making me tear up reading your reply!

It means a lot to me. Yeah I've put in a lot of time and effort into training, but I've gotten sooo much more back from Red in return. Being able to be out in public with him and doing a service to the breed really fulfills me.
