Most experts don't recommend switching foods because it can cause digestive problems, even if only indigestion and loose stools. Foods should always be changed gradually, increasing the ratio of new to old mixture over a week or 2. But if you are concerned about variety, why not buy 2 good kibbles, mix them in a bin, and feed that - if one has more vegies, or better balance or no grains, then you can create the mix your dog does best on. When ours were puppies, we mixed the food the breeder encouraged, which they weren't crazy about, with a big breed puppy food they liked. I think this time, with the new puppy, we might try one or 2 of the ProPlans - everyone seems to be really enthusiastic about them! lois
