Puppy Problems!

OK..heres the poop...literally. I've had Sully for almost 2 weeks now, he was on Science Diet Lamb and Rice once he had come home from the breeders, and did very well as far as formed stools. Over the next week I introduced Avoderm Avocado puppy food...still fine, until about 2 days ago, when explosive diarrhea occurred. Only at night, so I figured it may be the training treats I am giving him( Solid Gold Turkey Jerky) so I have completely cut those out and have been feeding him a bland diet (boiled chicken and rice). Now no more explosiveness, but I am noticing he is voracious about eating. When he was eating the kibble, he would take a few bites and hardly eat, now with the bland diet, he is psycho about it...eats so fast he gets the hiccups, and has a hard time dealing with my hand in the bowl while he eats to the point of almost forgetting to breathe while hes inhaling it. Should I not be putting my hand in there? I dont want a food aggressive maniac on my hands....Im figuring he just plain doesnt like his kibble, so I want to try something new....I cant get the good stuff around here, and its really too expensive to order online and ship. Oh BTW, he got into the kitty litter box the day before all this and ate kitty hor deurves.....could that have been the cause of the diarrhea? And how long do I feed the bland diet for? Its been one and a half days of feedings so far. Sorry for the saga...but I figured I would try to give all the details.
