I did write Mr. Ryan back and said I would like a refund due to lack of communication etc.. shortly after I recieved a voicemail and email from him which he oddly had a friendly tone and said the pups were doing good and he would send pics at 5weeks of age and "we can't rush mother nature" I don't know exactly what that means. I did write him back say we are not trying to be impatient ppl we have questions that are going unanswered and we are new to this and feel we have no one to talk to etc.. So thats where we are at. I do want to thank everyone for their support and concern we do appreciate everyone's input even if its hard to read but its good to know. Thanks again guys

NovaScotia, I am so sorry you and your boyfriend have been overwhelmed and disheartened by the comments on here about von Ryan Luxus.
I know no one here meant to add to your bad experience!
We are just upset that you've stumbled into poor guidance by someone who seems to have ill-repute. (And sounds like for good reason.)
Please, you sound like a nice person, and like you are willing to be pacified by this fella's voicemail. Well, as a nice, patient person, you would be.
But, think about it--you had to threaten taking your money back before you even got any sort of response from him!
That's horrible.
And as far as "rushing Mother Nature," erm, what the heck does Mother Nature have to do with digital cameras?!
Most good breeders have pics of the pups from birth, and at each week of growth thereafter, all the way up til the pup goes to you.
And--seriously, yikes--the comments I've been seeing on the von Ryan pups' temperaments--geez louise, a male Dobe pup is about
ten handfuls to raise, even if it's of good temperament. Please don't set yourself up for failure! You think you feel bad now--get a pup, get attached, get overwhelmed...it's not a nice scenario.
I understand having the "wants" BAD for your new puppy, but perhaps use your nice patience to wait on a better puppy from a better breeder, rather than using it for this fella who seems not to give a crap about you or how this is affecting you.
