Purina is one of the facilities that I haven't visited, so I can't speak to their specific quality controls. And what I know about it only relates to the veterinary Rx diets. So I don't know about the rest. They'll often discuss it with veterinarians who call, but not always with the general public. I suppose if you're burning with curiosity, you could call the 1-800 number on the bag... |
Leaving 'Pro Plan' out of it as I don't know what is in it and what the quality controls are at the place of production. But after the pet food fiasco of last year any company who wants my business had better be forthcoming with me and me alone, if they want to play the vet or proprietary information game they can keep the product. Again, this post in no way reflects on Pro Plan, just the lesson learned from what was exposed in the pet food industry last year.
