I arrived at Cornelia's looking for a black / rust pup, but left with this sweet boy who was exactly what I was looking for as she predicted I would. I recently lost my male Jax, a 4 year old black / rust Doberman, when he was shot on my back porch in my backyard during a false alarm and was set on getting a male with his colors. I miss him so much. Two months ago I never would have thought that I would have a new pup today, but I feel as though a hole in my heart has been filled. I even wavered in my decision and was going to take another look at the black males that were there when she joked if only we had some black spray paint

Thank you Cornelia for matching me with this beautiful boy. He is better than anticipated and settling in perfectly in his new home.
I have had my hands full with him the last 2 days after he slept the majority of the 21+ hour drive home from Arizona. He finally gave out the slightest whimper with about 30 minutes until we returned to New Orleans; a much better traveler than his human drivers. My female Dobe Scarlett walked up to him as I had him on my lap and gave him the biggest kiss which was immediately returned by the new pup. I don't think either of their tails has stopped wagging the past 2 days.
