I personally respect you for admitting that and being a big enough person to allow someone else a chance to do so. Think about it - some people would not be willing to put themselves threw the heartache of giving him back. In that case, Cirrus would not be given the proper care. You are doing what is right for Cirrus - a very unselfish act. There is someone out there that has a need that Cirrus will fill - there is also another Dobe out there that will fill your needs - and then some.
