I probably should not have posted that - should have just kept it to myself. I deleted all of my posts and such a week or so ago but was thinking a little last night, got mad and started typing. But since I did post it, I will explain what Im upset about.

First of all, I have an immense love and respect for the beautiful Dobermans in this forum and I myself started off wanting to push for Petey and Cosmo for the cropped party (they had no interest tho). I had absolutely NO intention of getting involved with Sebastian - never even crossed my mind. But 2gooddobes PMd me and explained that the election needed another couple to run for the natural party. But instead of running a less than conformed Sebastian for president, I contacted Fawn to run Bear instead and let Sab be the VP. I paid the money and acted as the "campaign mgr" lol, but believed it would be much much better to have Bear as the president because of the Doberman standard and the visibility he would have.

With that said, I am not wrapped up in the bio being posted or any other petty parts of this. What I AM upset about is an apparent lack of enthusiasm from the mods/admin, that started at the time we entered the contest. Again, let me state that this is not about the contest. It is about what seems like a devaluing of some dogs due to more or less conformation. We had to repeatedly contact mods to keep the election going and it went down many weeks late. Furthermore, the election happened how long ago? No one contacted us about bios or anything, we contacted them. To a point, I tried to understand but when time drags on...no communication...coupled with the string of events from the start - it starts to look like something other than being busy. My last convo with Kratty was several weeks ago and I was told that TD would take care of it. I have heard nothing.

Lastly, the most important aspect of all of this has been my desire to expand the Dobermans United organization based out of the San Fransisco Bay area. I wanted to try to help organize chapters across the country, for the sake of the breed and very importantly, to fight bsl. This election was to be a springboard for that and I was very excited about it. I went to great lengths to make this known throughout the election and afterwards, including the last paragraph of Sebastians bio.

So although I am VERY passionate about preserving the breed, to the point of intentionally diverting the spotlight from my own dog, I have a real problem with what seems like elitism from admin and prominent members. Coupled with the loss of momentum with what I consider a very very important project (Dobermans United), yes I have been very upset. Given my stated intent to use this to promote something so potentially good for the breed, I would think that the mods and admin would be pushing very hard to help jumpstart the process.

I would love nothing more than to somehow know that this is about basic accountability and not snobbishness. But given the chain of events from the very beginning, I am having a real hard time recognizing it as such.
