That is a good question. I'm sure you saw my post here about my red girl. At first I thought that I may switch her to the Salmon and Brown Rice Selects formula in a few months, but if she continues to do well on the Sensitive Skin formula, I may just leave her on it. I don't want to fix it if it's not broke. The Sensitive Skin one is salmon based. I have a blue male who does well on Canidae, but he is starting to get bored with it, and is always sniffing the bag of Pro Plan. He also goes and licks her bowl after she eats. I may switch him to it as well if my girl continues to do well on it. I have seen a five year old blue dobe in Petsmart who has a good coat for a blue, very shiny, and the owner feeds it Pro Plan for Sensitive Skin, and she said that she gives no supplements. What do you feed your blue dobe now? I don't think it would hurt to try Pro Plan. If it doesn't work, you can always switch back. I think with blues that their hair will thin out no matter what you feed them, it's just in their genes, unfortunately.
