i live in maryland and am considering a doberman puppy as a family companion, protector. i will never breed or show the dog, but want a great dog nonetheless. i also only want to support a breeder that has the best interest of the breed at heart. where do i go. i could visit dozens of breeders in my area, but i am not educated enough on the subject to make a wise choice. i am sure my heart would overide my brain. that is why i joined this forum. any opinions on the above breeders? i am only going to consider breeders that get strong referrals from DT members, so steer me in the right direction please. i just joined the forum today and there is so much to consider. i am overwelmed. please any help would be great.
