| I believe Mars may have DDD. He started out with an odd limp last week for no apparent reason.I couldnt really even tell witch leg was bothering him. couldnt even tell if it was the front or hind legs. the limp lasted for about three days the entire time he was limping he seemed to all of a sudden be ok when we were outside all he wanted to do was play run, jump and pull me around the yard to investigate everything. then he seemed to be acting a little strange again last night for some reason he refused to sleep on his bed, i figured maybe it might be getting a little to small for him so i pulled out an old foam matress out the spare bedroom folded it in half thinking he might prefer to lay on that since he could stretch out. He did seem to perfer it. But this morning he was limping again. and again for no apparent reason. all day long his limp has progressively gotten worse. All symptoms point to DDD. I finally decided to give him a 50MG Tramadol. as at first i thought maybe he was showing symtoms of CHD. but that did nothing and the limp has progressed to get worse. One thing ive noticed is that when he goes to lay down he just drop his hip on the ground like a stone falling outta the sky. he somtimes does this so hard he will shake the entire house. He has however always done this but since hes gotton bigger he drop harder. Im really hoping this is just a self inflicked sore hip but i really dont know. He seems like hes in pain while inside unless he falls asleep he cant stay on one piece of furniture for more the a couple of minutes at a time. So far he still has an appitite. he still asks to go outside to do his buisness. but he almost fell down the stairs on the porch. other then that he dosent seem to want to do anything other then try like mad to get comfortable. the last time he needed to go out i decided to carry him down the stairs. the second he was done wizzin he started to act as normal as ever jumping up and down trying to bite my arms even running around the yard and tryed to instate a game of catch with his tennis ball. But the second we got back in the house he began to favor his right rear leg again and instantly got all mopy again. We will be going to the vets on monday to figure this out. But it really is starting to sound and look like DDD. So maybe some extra prayers for my little buddy will tide him over till monday.
