| See the little green block under your name? When people "thank" your post, those blocks increase in number. It speaks to a person's reputation -- or at least it should.
I've seen other web sites use it as a popularity contest. I hope it's intended as being reflective of a user's input and forum member support rather than how well their buddies like them.
