I actually use all of the above. The clicker with lots of praise and or treats. A jute for rewarding works wonders too I've found. Gunner is very attentive to both but with treats it's either got to be an empty belly or a high value tidbit. His jute on the other hand is like a magic wand.
Some things like lunging can be best halted with a sharp correction on the collar.
