I know that the question is predominantly geared towards food suggestions, but it seems odd to me that Suri's hair is thinning on only one area, on one side of her body. Have you had her worked up for any other causes? I know flank-sucking is sometimes seen in Dobermans - could it be compulsive grooming? Or perhaps a dermatologic issue? I don't know - the description of the hairless patch, it's location, and the fact that it's in a single specific area makes me wonder if it wouldn't merit further diagnostics.

By the by, I love the Natura products (Calif. Naturals, Innova, EVO). They're the only holistic-type manufactururer (to my knowledge) that employs a boarded veterinary nutritionist (Dr. Sean Delaney, formerly of UC Davis). But no food works for 100% of the animals that it's fed to. Food is definitely a personal thing.
