| Oooh crumbs, loads of things (mine's nine months old so I speak from quite recent experience), like....
1) Crate, if NOTHING else get this, it will help with potty training and all manner of other things. The crate should be just big enough for pup to stand, turn around and lie down in. I know that seems small but if its snug he'll feel secure and any bigger and he might pee in one corner and sleep in the rest, totally defeating the potty training aspect.
2) Nice soft fleecy bedding for the crate, vetbed is brilliant.
3) Kong, a puppy size one obviously. Great for playing with and also for chewing.
4) Chew toys. Especially important for teething, tsome of the best ones to get are those which you can freeze so that they cool sore little gums. Get a variety of different types of chew toy, all different textures, colours and sizes.
5) the only toy my little one would play with a first was a big fluffy gorilla, pups seem to like soft toys whihc are almost as big (if not bigger) than them. Perhaps they remind them of their litter mates.
Thats the initial stuff that springs to mind. Good luck with your new pup, you lucky thing! |
